Advice Page

Here is a little page that I've created that might be helpful to beginners.

* There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with being a crossdresser or TV!!! And you should NEVER be ashamed of being yourself! If crossdressing and being Femme makes you happy, and it harms no one, then what's the problem?! - There is NO problem!

* Don’t let anyone (including yourself!) tell you that you can never pass as a woman. If it is important to you, and you are willing to work at it, it will happen in time.

* Think carefully about telling your partner about your crossdressing. Before you confess all, be sure you have educated yourself first. Being knowledgeable about yourself and what you do, is the best way to help a loved one through the "surprise" you have in store for them. It is also extremely important to consider HOW to break the news to your partner. Consider dropping a few hints first, so that the final bombshell isn't so much of a shock.

* Not all women can immediately get to grips with the fact their partner is a crossdresser, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they never will. It is therefore important to give such women plenty of time and space, to sort out their feelings about their partner's "alter ego".

* If you haven’t done so already, join a support group. One of the most potentially destructive aspects of crossdressing for many men is the secrecy and loneliness that can accompany it. You need someone/a place, where you can be yourself, get support, and talk to others who have been in your situation.

*Shopping for women’s clothes might seem very daunting, but remember that you have every right to be in the clothes shop, just like anyone else! Whether you are "dressed", or in male attire, the sales people should treat you with respect and sensitivity. Don't hesitate to report unprofessional sales assistants to a higher authority in the store, if you feel you were not given the respect you DESERVE!

Beauty tips

*Whilst you can get away with buying some cheap garments for your wardrobe, NEVER skimp on the quality of a wig! Cheap wigs look very cheap, and you will be spotted as being a male crossdresser,   in less that two seconds!.

* When applying makeup, it is well worth your while to invest in a lighted makeup mirror, or apply makeup in natural daylight. Make sure the mirror has a magnifying side to it.

* Don’t waste your money on breast creams, home “permanent” hair removal systems or “amazing” natural feminizing pills. They don’t work!

* Always be careful when applying make-up to the area underneath the eyes. The skin is delicate, and stretches easily, so make sure you apply foundation and creams using your ring finger, which is the weakest finger, and therefore is not as rough on the delicate under-eye skin.
